Someone made a shocking discovery while fixing a burst pipe. A maintenance worker in an apartment complex found two puppies subjected to horrific conditions. They were found surrounded by urine and feces. The worst part was their mouths were shut sealed with tape.

The discovery happened in Wichita, Kansas. He was asked to fix a pipe that had burst and is likely to flood the apartment. There was a smell that struck him. After that, a small crate in the room caught his eye. At first, he didn’t hear anything. The small puppies were not making any sounds. He soon found out why.

It was a fortunate fact that the maintenance worker knew exactly who to call. He knows someone from the Witchita Animal Action League. Because of that friend they were able to seek appropriate help.

The friend called the executive director of WAAL Sarah Coffman. Her team immediately swooped in to handle the situation. The puppies were quickly transported to the veterinarian to get the tapes removed. It was uncomfortable for the 7-month old puppies, but it had to be done. The blood flow to their snouts returned.

After a week the puppies are doing well and great. They got named Wilson and Violet. The puppies were rescued just in the nick of time. If they were left alone longer, there could have been lasting damages. These puppies are now enjoying their time in a foster home. They are being given the love and care every animal deserves.

The previous owner of the puppies is now charged with misdemeanor and animal abuse. While the former owner is being tried in court, Wilson and violet will remain in the care of their foster family. After the case is resolved these puppies will be available for adoption. They are enjoying their foster experience so far. These are two resilient dogs.
