A 25-year-old British student who was vacationing on a beach in Greece was almost attacked by two men when a stray dog came to her rescue, causing the men to flee.
The student, Georgia Bradley, was walking alone on the beach when two men walked toward her and asked her to have a drink with them. When Bradley refused, the two men became aggressive toward her, and one of them suddenly grabbed her arm.
Just then, a stray black dog appeared out of nowhere and started barking. The dog also jumped up at Bradley and licked her hand. Somehow, the dog’s presence made her attackers stop what they were doing, and they left.
Bradley said the pooch must have sensed that there was something wrong and went to her aid. She named the female dog Pepper.
But the story doesn’t end there. Bradley had an instant connection with Pepper and couldn’t bear to part with her. She asked a shelter and a vet to help the stray dog, but they refused. She had no choice but to leave Pepper when her vacation was over.
Back at the UK, Bradley couldn’t stop thinking about the sweet stray dog that saved her life. She booked the earliest flight she could take back to Greece even as she was unsure if she would find Pepper again. Thankfully, she spotted the black pooch on the same beach where they first met.
This time, she wouldn’t leave Pepper behind. She was determined to adopt Pepper and bring her back to the UK. She had Pepper checked by a vet and completed all the requirements for taking Pepper to her homeland.
In about a month, Bradley was able to take Pepper home. And after a week of arriving in her new home, Pepper gave birth to six puppies.
Bradley said the turn of events left her feeling “over the moon.” She and Pepper were finally together.
