Ever since Vanessa Pflueger adopted Riot the Pitbull, she noticed how the dog transitioned from being the tiny shelter dog to the mother of all the foster puppies that she takes in.

What a riot

Vanessa was casually looking at the shelter sites online when she comes across an adorable, all-white Pitbull. She went to their local shelter to see the young puppy and was instantly hooked by how cute he was.

When she got the canine, he was already named Riot because his previous owner says that the dog would often do crazy things and be an overall riot. Although the statement was proven to be accurate, the dog was also a total sweetheart that loved to be cuddled.

Foster family

Over the summer, Vanessa took in two tiny puppies to foster. The two were still trying to nurse and would often chase Riot to try and nurse off him.

Vanessa predominantly fosters bully breeds that come from bad backgrounds. They’re being taken care of by Riot, who attempts to teach the puppies how to act like dogs.

After having a walk or two, the puppies start to trot next to Riot and follow his movements. He loves to teach them how to play with toys and how to snuggle together.

Since young puppies are generally more playful and energetic, Riot would be very patient with them. They would love to chase Riot’s tail and bite it. Since then, Riot inspired Vanessa to foster more.

Vanessa had had a lot more foster puppies that attach themselves to Riot. Their favorite activity would be to sit there and chew Riot’s ear while he just sat there and wagged his tail.

Riot takes puppy behaviors with stride. Vanessa acknowledges that Riot does the most work when taking care of the puppies. She’s glad that she has this special canine to help the puppies build their confidence.

Vanessa also feels lucky to have that is super sensitive and quickly picks up on emotions. Whenever Riot senses that something is wrong, his instinct is to sit on his owner’s lap and try to make eye contact.

It was quite fortunate for Vanessa to find this one of a kind puppy, and she is grateful for him.
