Pickles was only a baby when he was rescued from a submerged farm in Missouri. His dad and mom drove for 4 hours so they can pick him up and welcome him in the family. He was very ill when he first came home. But thankfully, Pickles recovered quickly.

As Pickles’ true personality started to come out, there was one thing his parents observed. He loves playing with and being around dogs. And to be more accurate, it’s French Bulldogs that he loves most.

“Pickles gravitated towards Frenchies,” said his mom, Maddie. “Maybe because their built is like that of a pig, they sound the same, and have no shame.”

So without hesitation, his parents brought one home. Suddenly, Pickles has a new brother and they called him Dill. The family hoped that the duo would grow up loving and caring for each other but didn’t think that they would be the best of friends nearly instantly.

“It was one sweet surprise that they liked each other the moment they met. They cuddle all the time and Dill’s really a good brother. He protects Pickles especially when dogs try to chase him, even the big ones.”

From the moment they saw each other, Dill and Pickles were completely in love with each other. Now, they don’t just cuddle. They romp around the beach, dress up, and be silly just as they usually are.

For the brothers, being together is enough, although they are a bit different being one’s a pig and the other a dog. “Dill probably thought he was a pig. He looks up to Pickles on how to behave. It’s just funny because sometimes, he gets confused tasting the grass.”

Pickles loves so many things that Dill hates like water and going swimming. But Pickles takes his duty as the big brother seriously. He helps his little brother overcome his fears one way or another.

Eventually, Dill came to realize that he’s not really a pig. But despite their dissimilarities, Dill and Pickles have embraced each other’s differences.
