Service animals are blessings for those people who are disabled.

But it turns out that they aren’t helping only humans. You can ask Adam and Chelsea Stipe from Mooresville, North Carolina because their blind doggo has its little guide.

Charlie is a golden retriever, is 11 years old, and he lost both his eyes because of glaucoma. Charlie’s left eye was taken out back in 2016, and his right eye soon followed after a year. He is way more comfortable today compared to when he had glaucoma, yet he hasn’t had the most pleasant time of getting used to moving around without his eyesight.

Fast forward a few years to 2019 when the Stipes chose to adopt one more dog. They brought Maverick, a golden retriever pup, home on New Year’s Day. Charlie honestly didn’t like having the new addition to the family. But even he couldn’t resist the adorable puppy’s charm. They were quick to become inseparable. That was when Chelsea saw something unique about Maverick.

Chelsea said that whenever Maverick and Charlie would play, Maverick would know when Charlie lost his toy, so he would get it and bring it back to Charlie so that they can continue playing. From there, he would start expecting what Charlie needs so that he can help him live his life more comfortably.

Even though Maverick isn’t trained to being a service dog, it doesn’t bother or makes a difference for Charlie. The latter, no doubt, loves his best buddy.

With such a pure and wholesome friendship, there’s no doubt when the two became internet sensations. They were featured recently on Twitter’s mega-popular account called WeLoveDogs where they gave them a rare score of 14/10.

It doesn’t matter if you believe in fate or not; you can’t doubt that these two were destined for each other. Charlie may have disliked Maverick at first, but now he can’t imagine living his life without him.
